Job Description: The Lead Market Intelligence Analyst will develop analytics that allow us to build business cases and make key data driven marketing decisions. This role requires extensive collaboration with Senior Management, Marketing, Product Research and Development, Sales and Supply Chain teams. Responsible for managing the creation, collection, organization, development, and dissemination of relevant data to support strategic business objectives.

  • Will take ownership of the market data responsibilities for the business including the completion and publishing of all routine Market Insights deliverables, e.g. Marketing fact book, competitive price guide.
  • Maintains existing sources for collecting data, in addition to establishing new reliable sources as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the development, modification and adjustment of procedures, policies, processes and technologies as it relates to data aggregation and analysis.
  • Responsible for competitor analysis and surveillance, create and distribute summaries from quarterly conference calls, earnings updates, trade materials and tradeshows.
  • Create a single, consolidated, searchable tool providing real time and customizable market information (size, share, growth) for current markets as well as potential or “new” markets.
  • Will make correlations and identify trends by tying together information such as product usage, procedure data and customer VOC through collaboration with Portfolio Marketing and Market Insights .
  • Design and execute innovative quantitative research to support the marketing portfolio strategies and R&D.
  • Will work in close partnership with portfolio marketing, brand marketing, R&D, business development and finance to integrate inputs and support their market data needs.
  • Will manage post-launch tracking of performance relative to stated financial targets.
  • May be required to provide model support to multiple segments of the business, including portfolio marketing, brand management, and business development.
  • Uses research findings to identify and make recommendations for new business opportunities and portfolio expansion.
  • Will create, manage, and distribute region/territory/product penetration reports as requested by Marketing or Sales.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years relevant experience required.
  • Intermediate understanding of business strategy, market insights and research preferred.
  • Exercise discretion and independence when applying professional expertise.
  • Must be able to manage time, projects, stress and conflict.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication.
  • Must be able to bring tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize work and keep detailed and confidential records.
  • Must be able to communicate / present to large groups of people.
