Job Overview

The Contracts Administrator is responsible for the administration of Stryker’s Contract Management processes. This position involves day-to-day administration of the customer contract functions, and requires close interaction with the Customers, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Management, and Senior Leadership teams.

This individual must serve as a positive contributing member of the Pricing and Contract

Administration team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.

Responsibilities

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Initial point of contact for customer Contracts, including management and monitoring of the caContracts@stryker.com shared inbox.
  • Provide Contract Administration consisting primarily of acquiring appropriate approvals, signatures, scanning and mailing.
  • Work with legal team to review and amend Terms and Conditions when needed.
  • Maintain and update the Master Contract Database with all required contract information including all amendments.
  • Ensures secure storage and electronic filing of all contract documents, financial reviews and approvals and filing hard copies.
  • Coordinate archiving/destructions of hard copies as per the document retention policy
  • Secondary point of contact for ProCare contract ERP data entry, including monitoring of the ProCare Canada Inbox.
  • Provides ad hoc support for Proposals, Rebates/Value Add process including scanning, mailing, and filing both digital and hard copies.
  • Continuous process improvements & implementations and participates in collaborative contract initiatives with cross-business franchises
  • Maintains a good understanding of procurement at the hospital, regional, provincial, and national buying group levels to ensure alignment with customer and government-imposed terms & conditions
  • Develop product working knowledge
  • Build strong partnerships with all stakeholders including Sales Reps, Commercial Leaders and Marketing
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.

  • Report any violations of these policies and procedures to Stryker management or in the manner outlined in Stryker’s Ethics Hotline Policy

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of contract terminology, practices and concepts, or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire working knowledge of similarly complex areas of knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, with specific focus on Excel and Word formatting and functions
  • Demonstrated ability to apply strong organizational and time management skills in the context of a complex, high volume work load
  • Utilizes technology-based tools and processes and demonstrates ability to learn and employ new technology applications
  • Strong service ethic and desire to succeed in a customer service-oriented environment
  • Proactive, self-motivating and results oriented
  • Proven analytical, written and verbal communication skills

Education & Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education required; University Degree preferred. Previous experience in an administrative capacity is an asset.
  • Bilingual (French & English) is an asset.
  • 2-4 years of contracts experience preferred.
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
